Automated Melt Flow Index Tester / Semi Auto Melt Indexer | 521-4A

Application(s): Determination of Melt Flow Rate (MFR/MVR) of thermoplastics

The Semi Auto Melt Flow Indexer is designed for measuring of the MFR (melt mass-flow rate) and MVR (melt volume-flow rate) according to ISO 1133 and ASTM D1238 with semi-automated functions such as loading test weight, residue purging and assisted cylinder cleaning to reduce the burden during operation, ensure operation safety and shortening work time.

 

Equipped with an automated measurement unit, a series of operations from the start of measurement after sample filling to the end of measurement are performed automatically.   Preheating time, piston holding position, and holding time can be set arbitrarily to maintain a constant actual preheating time until measurement starts, enabling stable measurement.
