90 Years of Progress – Let’s take a look back at the 70’s TOYOSEIKI Catalog!

History


From the 1930s to the 1950s, the company mainly manufactured testing equipment for paper, textiles, and inks.  Since the 1960s, TOYOSEIKI has been manufacturing and selling mainly testing equipment for plastics and rubber.

  • 1934 – Founded by Shozo Endo in Sarugaku-cho, Kanda, Tokyo. (March 1st)
  • 1939 – Moved to Takinogawa, Tokyo and established company.

  • 1950 – Focused on development of pulp and paper testing machines.
  • 1953 – Production of Inkometer and Hoover type Muller begins.

  • 1955 – Production of Melt Flow Indexer begins.

  • 1958 – Itabashi Factory begins operations.

  • 1960 – Production of the “Strograph” load cell type universal testing machine begins.

  • 1962 – Musashi Factory begins operations; Osaka Branch opens.

  • 1963 – Production of rubber vulcanization tester “Oscillating Disk Rheometer” begins.
  • 1964 – Received certification as an export-contributing company
  • 1968 – Production of Building Material Combustibility Tester begins; Nagoya Branch opens.
  • 1970 – Production of Torque Rheometer “Labo Plastomill™” begins.
  • 1974 – Production of Biaxial Stretching Tester begins.
  • 1978 – Production of Automatic Densimeter begins.
  • 1982 – Production of Capillary Rheometer “Capillograph™” begins.
  • 1988 – Tokyo Factory begins operations.

  • 1997 – Obtained ISO 9001 certification, the international standard for quality management systems.
  • 2002 – Tokyo Factory Funado Support Center begins operations.
  • 2012 – Established Dongyang Jingji Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (China)
