Drop Weight Impact Tester | No.643-
No.643 Falling Weight Impact Tester
To evaluates the impact fracture characteristics of plate materials such as rigid plastics by simultaneously measuring the force and displacement of impact fracture and measuring the maximum impact force, displacement at maximum impact force, energy at maximum impact force, puncture energy, etc.
Features:
- Free-fall tests can be performed by changing test conditions such as falling weight and height of fall, and the impact force, displacement, and duration of action can be detected.
- The free-fall impact velocity can be changed in the range of 1.40 to 5.05 m/s, depending on the height of the falling weight.
- The control unit can be connected to a PC to transmit test results to a spreadsheet software worksheet.
- Input of test conditions and test results can be checked on the control unit’s touch panel.
- By attaching a spring acceleration device (optional), impact tests can be performed at higher speeds (1.40 to 16.00 m/s) than free fall.
- When equipped with the specimen fixing device (optional), the specimen can be automatically held down when the door is closed, allowing the test to be performed with the specimen fixed in place.

Installation location:
- Ground the unit on a concrete floor at least 300 mm thick with no unevenness or slope, and secure it with anchor bolts.
- Please take anti-vibration measures in areas where the ground is soft or where transmission of vibration due to impact to other equipment may be a problem.
- During the test, a loud noise (max. approx. 107db) will be generated momentarily.
