Pendulum Impact Tester (Charpy/Izod) | 556-IT

The (Pendulum) Impact Tester measures the impact value from the amount of pendulum energy required to fracture a specimen.

The Izod, Charpy, and Tensile methods can be used.

Optional instrumentation is useful for analysis of brittleness and toughness at impact.

Charpy impact test

Fix both ends of the specimen to a horizontal support and impact the back of the notch (notch) with a hammer.

Fix the end of the specimen in a vertical cantilevered beam and impact it with a hammer from the notched direction.

Features
