Limited Warranty

Toyo Seiki Seisaku-sho, Ltd. (“TOYOSEIKI” ) warrants that, except as otherwise stated, products manufactured by TOYOSEIKI shall be free from defects in material/workmanship under normal use and service for the period listed below commencing from the date of installation, shipment or completion. 

No warranties apply to goods that are normally consumed in operation, such as, without limitation, spares or accessories.

In no event will TOYOSEIKI’s liability under the foregoing warranty exceed the purchased price paid for the product giving rise to the liability.

 

New Equipment


The warranty period shall be 12 months from the date of installation or 15 months from the date of shipment, whichever is earlier.  Shipment date shall be Bill of Lading date.

 

New Spare Parts


The warranty period shall be 3 months from the date of installation or shipment, whichever is earlier. 

However, consumables and similar parts shall be excluded.

 

Repair


Repair performed on an instrument at our facilities or at customer site, shall be warranted for a period of 3 months from the completion date of the repairs.

Warranty shall be limited to the repaired part.

 

Warranty Exclusion


Our warranty specifically covers faults in the product that have been caused by the manufacturer and are not results of normal wear and tear or misuse by the user. Even within the warranty period, the following scenarios are not covered under warranty:

(1) The product failure caused by mishandling.

(2) Repairs or modifications made by anyone other than TOYOSEIKI or TOYOSEIKI’s authorized personnel.

(3) The product failure caused by the reasons unrelated to the product itself.

(4) The product use in environmental conditions other than those described in the instruction manual.

(5) The faults by fires, earthquakes, lightning strikes, floods or other natural disasters.

(6) Consumables and similar parts.

(7) The faults by transfer or transportation after delivery or installation.

(8) In case of any other deviation from the generally expected handling.

Note: If any repair, modification or alteration is made to the product or parts by anyone other than TOYOSEIKI or TOYOSEIKI’s authorized personnel, warranty shall expire.

 

Service Policy


(1) Repair

TOYOSEIKI provides repair services for up to 20 years from the date of shipment. However, if TOYOSEIKI judges that there are no issues from the technical and safety point of view, TOYOSEIKI may repair the equipment to the extent possible, provided that buyer agree to the “Basic Items” in the “Confirmation Letter” provided by TOYOSEIKI.

Please note that TOYOSEIKI may decline to repair a product even within 20 years from the date of shipment, due to the availability of parts and other materials, or from technical and safety viewpoints.

 

(2) Calibration

TOYOSEIKI provides calibration services as much as possible, even for products that have exceeded 20 years from the date of shipment.

If the calibration results fail and buyer wishes to have adjustments or repairs made, TOYOSEIKI shall follow the procedures described in (1).
