TOYO SEIKI SEISAKU-SHO, LTD.  (東洋精機製作所, “Orient Precision Machinery Works”)  is a Japanese manufacturer of material testing machines for plastics, plastic film, rubber, paper, paint, ink, coating, textile and leather industries.

 

Overview


Toyoseiki was founded in Tokyo, Japan, 1934 as a manufacturer of materials testing equipment for paper, textiles, and rubber industries.

 

Since the 1950s, we have focused on material testing machines for plastics and other polymer materials.

 

Our portfolio includes Universal Testing Machines, Impact Testing Machines, Melt Flow Index Testers and Modular Torque Rheometers. Our products are widely used for quality control and R&D by a wide range of customers, including major manufacturers of materials, automotive, industrial, and household goods, as well as public testing and research institutes and educational institutions in worldwide.

 

Toyoseiki has been an industry pioneer in fully-automated material testing machibes since the 1970s, and has a particularly strong reputation in the fields of Melt Flow Index Testers, HDT/Vicat Testers and Tensile/Flexural Testing Machines.

 

Unique testing instruments such as Automatic Plastic/Rubber Density Tester and Portable Rubber Tack Tester are also part of our portfolio.

History


From the 1930s to the 1950s, the company mainly manufactured testing equipment for paper, textiles, and inks.  Since the 1960s, TOYOSEIKI has been manufacturing and selling mainly testing equipment for plastics and rubber.

  • 1934 – Founded by Shozo Endo in Sarugaku-cho, Kanda, Tokyo. (March 1st)
  • 1939 – Moved to Takinogawa, Tokyo and established company.

  • 1953 – Production of Inkometer and Hoover type Muller begins.
